Attempting to process all that is happening in the world can leave us feeling overwhelmed, complacent, or burned out. However, there is a method that can help to stay present in these uncertain times. In this episode of The Pleasurehood Podcast I share my Breathe, Move and Ground method that will allow you to connect to how you are feeling.
I'm firm in my belief that emotions are more powerful than any of us realize. For far too long we have silenced ourselves, disregarded our feelings and treated emotion as bad or wrong. But through my embodiment journey, I have come to understand that emotions are a great source of power. They allow us to connect with what doesn’t feel right in our lives and society, enabling us to make tangible changes for creating a better future - both for ourselves and those who come after us.
While breathing, moving, and grounding are often the last thing we think of doing in moments of uncertainty – creating a ritual or self practice of breathing, moving, and grounding can help solidify an affirmation of safety for ourselves. When we feel safe, we’re able to act from a place of power, and not reactivity, and this my friend can make a world of difference, not only in our lives, but also the lives of others.
